  ON MARCH 5, 2024, THE FACULTY IN-CHARGE OF THE EPC 3 CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING OF ICT COURSE, M.AMALA JANSI, ORGANIZED A VIDEO CONFERENCING CLASS FROM 2:30 PM TO 3:30 PM. THE SESSION WAS LED BY SUBJECT EXPERT SUPRAJA BALACHANDER, WHO SERVES AS THE HEAD OF THE COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DEPARTMENT AT KOLA SARASWATHI VAISHNAV SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL IN CHENNAI. SHE SHARED HER KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, ILLUSTRATING THEIR ROLE ACROSS VARIOUS SUBJECTS.   AIM: §   To provide better learning experience to students by inculcating technology in lesson plan. §   To determine the effectiveness of technology-based learning. CONTENT OUTLINE: Many changes are taking place around us on their own. In the fields, the crops change from time to time. Sometimes, leaves fall from trees, change color and dry out. Changes can be broadly classified into  physical and chemical changes , which can further be classified into reversible and irreversible changes. Most chemical changes are irreversible, whereas physical changes are mostly reversible. However, there are certain changes that can be physical and irreversible too.   AIM:   To create meaningful, interesting, active learning tasks, situations, and other opportunities for students. To monitor and provide useful feedback to students as they progress in their work. CONTENT OUTLINE: Acid-base indicators are substances that alter color of the solution to determine whether a solution is acidic or basic. The three often used indicators are: - i). Litmus paper ii) Methyl orange iii. Phenolphthalein. PROCEDURE: The teacher classifies indicator as natural and chemical and explains in detail about it. He explains how to handle the apparatus and safety measures to be followed while using chemicals. Then, the teacher demonstrates the change of color of solution with chemical indicators. Then the teacher lists the natural indicators that are available at our home.   He verbally says the procedure to be followed to find the nature of baking soda solution and lemon juice. Xavier's Institute of Education,  organized a webinar on  critical examination of assessment in relation with student's morale and performance.  The entire program was well organized.   AIM:    To determine the understanding of the subject through demonstration method.    To determine students’ level of interest towards subject while implementing demonstration method. CONTENT OUTLINE: Burning of candle involves both physical and chemical changes. During burning, the wax melts. Here, the wax has changed from solid to liquid state. This is a physical change. The wax near the wick of the candle burans and gives new substance like CO2, carbon soot, water vapors, heat etc., this is a chemical change. PROCEDURE:   The teacher explains the characteristics of physical and chemical change.     After explanation the teacher lights the candle and allows the candle to burn for some time. Meanwhile he explains the ingredients involved in the process of candle making.      Now, the teacher asks student to observe the happening. TEACHING METHODOLOGY NO: 1 LECTURE METHOD

  AIM:       To determine the effectiveness of lecture method.      To determine the potential of students learning through lecture method. CONTENT OUTLINE: When dirt or oil is combined with soapy water, the soap molecules form micelles, which are small clusters. The water-loving (hydrophilic) component of the soap molecules adheres to the water and extends outwards, forming the micelle's outer surface. The oil-loving (hydrophobic) sections adhere to the oil, trapping it in the core. The soap molecules form a barrier that traps the oil in the core. The dirt is rinsed away along with the soapy water. PROCEDURE: STEP 1: PLANNING OF LECTURE It involves selection of instructional resources and anticipation of difficulties during the lecture. INTERNSHIP

As part of the course , students must complete an 80-day internship at a government or government-aided school.  The list of schools was supplied by TNTEU University. LCE assigned schools to each and every candidate. I was assigned to perform my internship at P.A.K Palaniswami School. It is a government-aided school. I performed my internship there. It was an unforgettable experience working there.   

SIMPLE CHEMISTRY EXPERIMENT - CHROMATOGRAPHY

 Chemistry experiments are always fun to try out. The colors resulting from the experiment is a visual treat for chemistry lovers. One such experiment is Paper Chromatography. It is a separating technique used to separate the liquids that are dissolved in a solvent. The materials required for the experiment is easily available and here we are not going use lab chemicals. The procedure is also very simple to follow. Materials Required : 1. 250 ml Beaker  2. Sanitizer 3. Unruled paper 4. Pencil and scale 5. Glass Rod Procedure : 1. Fill the beaker with 15 ml sanitizer. 2. Cut the unruled paper of 3cm width and 12 cm in height. 3. Secure the edges of the paper rolled in a glass rod and paste it. 4. Now drop the glass rod into the beaker. Following are the photographs of the students who did paper chromatography. Photographs are taken during the internship period.
