 As a part of course rural camp was organized by Loyola College of Education. The objective of this camp was to provide insights about stark realities of the rural society especially the marginalized. The experience gained during the camp made me to understand the life of the poor and to adapt to every life situation. It inculcated social responsibility in me to serve the downtrodden community. The election for student council positions was held during the first semester. The contestants were given instructions ahead of time. On election day, I stood before the audience as an independent candidate and spoke about what I would do if elected as Chairman. The audience was given opportunity to register their votes. The votes were tabulated on the spot, and the results were announced. I felt filled with anticipation. To my surprise, with the majority of votes, I won the post of chairman.  Following are the photographs taken  on the polling day,

Van Mahotsav Day is a tree-planting festive celebrated in India during the first week of July, from 1 to 7. Its purpose is to raise awareness about the value of forests, woodlands, and trees in our lives.
