ONLINE COURSE

Bringing education where ever you want or need  is the basis of online courses. It is a web-based learning. There are many providers for MOOC courses such as , coursera, edX, alison, swayam etc., It is one of the most convenient and flexible method of learning at your own pace.

 Enrolling in a online course is a part of B.Ed. curriculum and the completion of course is must before third semester. Among various providers of MOOC course I chose swayam launched by HRD and Government of India to provide a platform for learners across globe to enhance their learning journey. Swayam courses are free of cost for any learners, if the learner wish to appear for exam and receive the certificate, examination fee is collected. After the successful completion of the exam e-certificates will be provided. 

I enrolled in "Developing soft skills and personality" course offered by IIT Kharagpur. I received the certificate after successful completion of examination. It is a 8 week course. At the end of each week assignments will be given. It was MCQ, out of 8 best 5 assignments score will be taken and the average of examination and assignment score will be the final score. Based on the score, certificates are categorized. I scored 83% and it comes under ELITE category with silver medal.

THE SESSION WAS LED BY SUBJECT EXPERT SUPRAJA BALACHANDER, WHO SERVES AS THE HEAD OF THE COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DEPARTMENT AT KOLA SARASWATHI VAISHNAV SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL IN CHENNAI. SHE SHARED HER KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, ILLUSTRATING THEIR ROLE ACROSS VARIOUS SUBJECTS.
